SHIPPING SERVICES BETWEEN EUROPE AND EAST AFRICA |
TRADING
AREAS
East Africa:
The sphere extends from Cape Guardafui to North of Chinde. The main ports in the region are:
Mogadiscio, Mombasa, Tanga, Dar Es Salaam and Nacala.
Europe:
For trading purposes there are four European Sectors, viz.: -
North Continent:
Comprising all North Sea Ports in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium; all Atlantic
and Channel ports in France; all ports in Spain north of the northern border
of Portugal and all ports in Portugal.
United Kingdom
& the Republic of Ireland:
Comprising all ports in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland; also all ports in the Republic of Ireland.
Scandinavia,
Finland and Baltic: Comprising all ports
in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Baltic Sea ports of: Germany, Poland,
Russia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
For all practical
purposes, the above three Sectors are presently grouped together as the North
European Area.
Mediterranean:
Comprising Spanish ports south of the southern border of Portugal, Gibraltar,
and all European Mediterranean ports and Cyprus but excluding Black Sea
ports. SERVICE
The service is
provided by the East Africa Container Service (EACS), and the regular ports
of call are as follows: Hamburg*/Antwerp/Felixstowe/Valencia/La
Spezia*/Damietta/ Jeddah/Port
Sudan*/Djibouti/Dar Es Salaam/Tanga*/Mombasa *Feeder |
